MAC Pigment: My Sparkly Little Secret

I’m going to let you in on my sparkly little SECRET. Shh…don’t tell.

This is my very first time trying out this out-of-this-world product, it makes your eyes shine to the moon and back.

I am making it sound so magical, because that’s exactly how I felt when I first put it on.

I only took a tiny bit from the cap, with my fingertip and dabbed it onto my eyelids. BAM!!! The most wide-looking, sparkly eyes that was surely going to turn heads everywhere I go!

Since it was my first time and I didn’t know what to expect, I ordered the smaller version in the colour Tan from the Little Mac collection. It comes in a little bottle in a small Ziploc bag.

The smaller version contains 2.5 grams of product.

With MAC’s Pigments, you have to remember that a little goes a loooong way. I doubt I will be finishing it anytime soon. I initially bought it to be mixed in with my Fix+ but I haven’t gotten around to doing that just yet. I will surely do a post on that soon. Here’s a swatch of the Pigment (pic below).

The picture doesn’t even do justice to how fabulous in looks in real life. That’s just the tiny bit from the cap. This stuff feels so precious, I truly am in love with it.

Head on over to my Instagram (beautyintheheat_) to see a video of it SPARKLE.

I think the main reason I fell in love with it so much was due to the fact that it is super easy to put on, no adhesives, hey you don’t even need a brush.

Perfect for beginners and experts alike. I only used a brush to get into the inner corners of my eyes.

With a brush, I realised that you need to use more product as compared to using your fingertips.

You can use your fingertips to smooth it out evenly for an ethereal look, not like any shadow or glitter that you would have ever used before.

  • Rating: 5 / 5
  • Pros: Simple to use, multi-purpose product, good shade range, very satisfying results.
  • Cons: Price. But in this case I think that can be justified too since you can use it for a long time.
  • Would I repurchase? Definitely. Can’t wait to try Rose and Blue Brown!
  • Final thoughts: I love that it is such a versatile product. Besides the two uses I mentioned above (on the eyes & mixed with Fix+), you can also use this to highlight your face, your brow bone and even on top of your lipstick or lipgloss. The effect is not stark like putting glitter on, instead it’s just gorgeous. This is one product that you have to try to believe. I simply cannot imagine anyone not liking MAC’s Pigments.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know if you have tried the other colours or if you know of other interesting ways to use it! xx
