MAC’s BEST Pro Longwear Paint Pot: Indianwood

Have you tried any of MAC’s Paint Pot’s? They are part of the Pro Longwear line which is supposed to be more long-wearing than their usual line of makeup.

I love the Nourishing Waterproof foundation from this line, you can find my full review of it with lots of photos, HERE.

Now, back to the Paint Pot. It is a 5g pot of gold, that’s how I would describe Indianwood.

Here it is, MAC’s Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Indianwood.

What MAC says it is?

A highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. Long-wearing, colourfast. Creates seamless coverage without weight or caking. Blends smoothly over the lids. Cream-based, can be mixed with M·A·C shadows and liners.

It is a beautiful true gold on the eyes. In the container it looks more bronze, but when you put it on it is definitely a striking, gold colour.

How do I use it?

This is the best eyeshadow base!

Simply use your fingers to apply it onto your lids. Fingers work best for this, using a brush takes to long and causes the product to dry up.

Then, apply your lid colour on top of it using a shader brush or fingers, whichever you like.

If you’re looking for really bold colour, you can use it on it’s own on your lids.

I also absolutely love to use this for the inner corners of my eyes and on my waterline just at the front, not all the way.

It looks really stunning used that way and brightens up the eyes. I have got loads of complements since I started doing it that way.

You really must, must try it.

I use a clean, lip brush to do it. It can be done fast, and easy with the lip brush.

I also found that it can be used as a gold eyeliner with a liner / winged liner brush.

It retails for RM 95 in Malaysia.

  • Rating : 5 / 5
  • Pros : Insane level of pigment, long-wearing, very vibrant colour.
  • Cons : Dries fast (if you want to use it on your lids you have to work fast). I know that many people love to use the neutral colours as an eyeshadow base and claim that it works great for that purpose.
  • Would I repurchase? Yes, without a doubt. Constructivist, Groundwork and Camel Coat are next on my list.
  • Final thoughts : I have been enjoying this product so much and I’ve been using it pretty much every time I go out. What I love about it, is that it can be used in so many ways. Unlike the Pigment that takes some time to work with to get it right, this formula is perfect for fast application and can be tailored to fit your look. You can do both glamorous and subdued looks with it. It’s stunning whichever way you choose to wear it. This is one of those finds that you know you’re going to love forever.

Thank you very much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post and got some good information from it. Xx
